Cooling that doesn’t need a person on site
Edge computing pushes servers into small outdoor cabinets and prefab shelters, often far from the nearest technician. Comfort air conditioners are not built for that duty. They depend on outside air, need frequent filter changes and are not designed to run continuously in extreme weather.
PrecisionAir units are sealed, closed-loop systems built for continuous duty. The ACG7 controller reports status over Ethernet using SNMP v2 or Modbus, so your team sees alarms and temperatures without a truck roll. BBCOND sizes the unit to the server load, mounts it, wires it and commissions it.

Remote sites we support
- Edge data cabinets: outdoor server and storage racks at the network edge
- Prefab edge shelters: small modular data rooms serving campuses and municipalities
- Network aggregation sites: switching and routing nodes for ISPs and enterprises
- Mountain and rural stations: sites reached by long drives or seasonal roads
- SCADA and telemetry shelters: control and communications equipment for utilities

Why Dantherm PrecisionAir
- Closed-loop cooling: outside air never mixes with enclosure air, keeping dust, moisture and smoke out
- Rated -40°F to 131°F: built-in heaters (500–2,000 W) for Colorado winters, full capacity in summer heat
- NEMA 3R construction: galvanized steel standard, stainless steel optional, all-aluminum microchannel coil
- Efficient, quiet operation: high-static BCI fans, rated by Dantherm at 40–60% less energy; 60–65 dB
- Remote monitoring: optional ACG7 controller with Ethernet, SNMP v2 or Modbus and a web interface
- Listed and tested: UL or ETL listings by model; manufactured under ISO 9001

Serving sites within an hour of Denver
Remote sites in the foothills and on the plains face hail, heavy snow, dust and wildfire smoke. The NEMA 3R weatherproof enclosure and closed air loop keep contaminants away from servers, and the low-maintenance design reduces site visits. We cover sites within about an hour of Denver, from Golden and Evergreen to Brighton, Longmont and Castle Rock.

Frequently asked questions
-
How do you size cooling for a server cabinet?
We start from the IT load in watts, add solar gain and other heat sources, then select a unit that carries the load at your design outdoor temperature.
-
What maintenance does a closed-loop unit need?
Less than an open-loop system because outside air never enters the cabinet. We recommend periodic inspection of the external coil, fans and controller.
-
Can the unit run on DC power?
Yes. 48 VDC models are available in several sizes for sites with DC power plants or battery backup.
